Angola Restaurant Week is an annual initiative organized by Luanda Night Life that promotes Angola local gastronomy. It’s main objective is to democratize the access to quality and very expensive restaurants along with with a donation to a social cause. 500 Angolan Kwanzas (Akz) or each Restaurant Week menu sold will be donated to 2 charity projects.
On the 5th Edition of the Angola Restaurant Week, the LNL team decided to take the challenge of breaking the borders of Luanda and making this event live up to its name. For this reason, they picked Benguela, Lobito and Lubango to start of the expansion of this occasion.
The event ran from October 5th-7th in Benguela and from October 19th-21st in Lubango. 12 restaurants accepted the challenge and made the weekend of these cities even tastier. They created menus with a fixed price of 3,000 Akz for lunch and 5,000 Akz for dinner. All of them included a starter, main course and dessert.
Angola Restaurant Week sold around 280 menus and made a donation to the city charity institution of 130,000 Akz. The culinary adventure continues in Luanda from October 29th to November 4th!
