From Addis Ababa to Harrar via Dire Dawa, this serie of photographys reflects the vision of my first trip to Africa. It is hard to talk about it without falling into clichés, without talking about land of contrasts and disparities. We will see crowds of job seekers from Arat Kilo, the cobbled streets of the old city of Harrar, the Kazanchis construction sites. If we look briefly, one can see the reassuring image of a timeless Ethiopia, modeled on the continent of which it hosts its political union. If we look a little longer, we can observe a country and a city in transition, where the gilded youth is lounging in the bars of Debre Zeyit.
