Chad is a state in central Africa that stretches over more than 1.2 million km2. Chad is bordered by Libya to the north, Cameroon and the Central African Republic to the south, Niger to the west and Sudan to the west. Without access to the sea and with a predominantly arid climate, Chad is dubbed “the dead heart of Africa” due to the fact that the country is landlocked. Featuring a wide variety of landscapes, this country harbours many historic attractions.
